Watch for a booth during Tuesdays on the Town. We will be there sharing information regarding plans for a community VBS and handing out ice cream cones to the kids.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – 2018
SUPER COOL UNDERSEA BIBLE ADVENTURE
Monday night, VBS kick-off. The preschool, pre-K and K classes made lobster ‘hats’ during their craft time. The kitchen crew put out an awesome spread of grilled cheese sandwiches, apple slices, chips and cookies for dessert. This group then heard the story of Jonah and the Whale before ending the activities with some games outside. Each evening the groups begin in the sanctuary of the United Methodist Church with the opening and close each night with a short kid friendly service at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Parents and caregivers are invited to join them at 7:40 for closing with dismissal at 8:00 PM.
2018 HAMPTON COMMUNITY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Registration will begin at 4:15 PM on Monday, July 30, 2018, held in the Fellowship Hall of the United Methodist Church at 100 Central Street, East. The office is open Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 until 5:00 and from 8:30 until noon on Fridays. Registrations may be picked up and dropped of at the church office.
VBS begins in the sanctuary of the United Methodist Church at 5:00 PM. Opening is followed with a light supper for all in attendance. The teaching sessions wind down around 7:40 with the closing taking place in the sanctuary of St. Paul Lutheran Church at 17 2nd St NE. Children will be ready to head for home by 8:00 PM.
On Thursday, August 27, 2018 at there will be a closing presentation featuring the children. Parents are invited to attend.
