Praise and Pork Chop Supper
June 6th will be the HUMC’s annual Pork Chop Supper. The funds from this event support our mission and camping ministries.
Tuesdays on the Town
During June watch here for more information regarding Tuesdays on the Town in Hampton IA.
There will be a booth set up to promote the Community Vacation Bible School being held in a cooperative effort with St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Hampton United Methodist Church.
Also, watch for a booth where the Men’s Group and others will be sharing ‘pasties’, a pastry filled with meat and vegetables or fruit.
Also, this summer there will be the FRANKLIN COUNTY FAIR.
Franklin County Fair Parade
On July 16th, watch for the Community Vacation Bible School Float in the parade promoting, Wild About Jesus. Pictured below, the VBS float from 2016.
During the fair HUMC watches over the chapel on Saturday. Lots of folks visit the chapel as they are curious about the history found there. It is also air conditioned and on a hot summer day, what better place to sit for a bit.
Heifer International Farm Mission Trip
Fundraising is underway you may see Mrs. Bossie Cow around town as she is looking for greener pastures.
On August 4 the team will arrive at the farm in Perryville, AR to spend a week learning about food insufficiency here in the United States and around the world. They will assist with the day to day chores of the farm. Upon returning home their story of this adventure will be shared with the congregation.
